About the doctor - Dr. Steve Graf is a native of Scotts Valley attending Scotts Valley Middle School and Soquel High School where he graduated as valedictorian. He graduated from UCLA with a degree in Biology and received his DDS from UCSF in 1991. The next ten years he spent in the US Air Force practicing as a general dentist for six of those years. On an Air Force scholarship, he attended Oregon Health Sciences University where he received a certificate in Orthodontics in 1999. He separated from the Air Force in 2001 and opened his private practice in town. Since his return to Scotts Valley, Dr. Graf has treated thousands of patients and continues to enjoy providing care for the community, both children and adults alike.
The Practice Philosophy - Having a small town practice has afforded Dr. Graf and his staff the ability to give quality personalized care to all of his patients. They strive to make you feel like you are walking in to visit a friend rather than herded through an assembly line of cold, chaotic care. Their open door policy allows all family members to participate in the braces process including younger siblings who may one day see themselves receiving treatment. They encourage parent participation as having direct dialogue with Dr. Graf and his staff keeps everyone informed. Timely appointments are also a priority as they feel the patient's time is just as important as the office's time.
